What Does a Contact Lens Fitter Do?
A contact lens fitter (contact lens technician or contact lens optician) trains new wearers to insert, remove and care for lenses, checks fit and comfort under the doctor's direction, orders lenses and manages the trial-lens inventory.
The NCLE certification is the main credential, and some states license contact lens dispensers.
